CRITICAL TIME INTERVENTION (CTI)
Critical Time Intervention is an empirically supported, time-limited case management model designed to prevent homelessness in people with mental illness following discharge from hospitals, shelters, prisons and other institutions.
EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION & REPROCESSING (EMDR)
EMDR helps people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.
MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING (MI)
MI often used to address addiction and the management of physical health. It sometimes helps people get motivated to change the behaviors that are preventing them from making healthier choices.
TRAUMA FOCUSED COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (TF-CBT)
TF-CBT is a form of counseling that aims at addressing the needs of children and adolescents with post traumatic stress disorder and other difficulties related to traumatic life events.
DIALECTICAL BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (DBT)
DBT helps treat borderline personality disorder. It can be useful treating mood disorders, suicidal thoughts, and for changing in behavioral patterns such as self harm and substance abuse.
FUNCTIONAL FAMILY THERAPY (FFT)
Functional Family Therapy is a family-based prevention and intervention program for high-risk youth that addresses complex and multidimensional problems through clinical practice that is flexibly structured and culturally sensitive.
PARENT-CHILD INTERACTION THERAPY (PCIT)
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy is a combination of play therapy and behavioral therapy for young children and their parents or caregivers. The adults learn and practice new skills and techniques for relating to children with emotional or behavior problems, language issues, developmental disabilities, or mental health disorders.
SAND TRAY THERAPY
Often used with those who have suffered some form of trauma, neglect or abuse. Sand Tray Therapy is a therapeutic intervention that uses sand and miniature toys to create scenes of miniature worlds that sometimes reflects someones inner thoughts, struggles and concerns.
PLAY THERAPY
Play Therapy is a method of meeting and responding to the mental health needs of children. Is is suited for children ages 3 through 11 and provides a way for them to express their experiences and feelings through a natural, self-guided, self-healing process. As child experiences and knowledge are often communicated through play, it becomes an important vehicle for them to know and accept themselves.
