Mental Health Therapist
(School Based)
We are currently looking for…
Full and part-time school-based mental health therapists to provide services in a school setting. School-based therapists provide services on-site at a single school and are able to create their own schedule within school hours and school calendar. School-based treatment is a family and community-based model that is access-oriented and minimizes barriers to intervention and prevention services. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collaborative, supportive, clinically diverse, and experienced mental health team. This position provides a great deal of flexibility and autonomy, with competitive pay.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Provide direct, evidence-based, clinical services including mental health assessments, individual and family psychotherapy, crisis intervention and case management services to school-aged clients and their families
-Coordinate care with school administration, counselors and social workers and participate in school team meetings
-Link clients to Hopeful Beginnings’ wrap-around services and other community resources as needed
-Create treatment plans and progress notes to manage treatment goals
-Ensure timely documentation using our online medical record
-Participate in Hopeful Beginnings’ school team meetings and group supervision
Requirements:
-Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited University/College
-Current LCSW, CSW, CMHC, ACMHC, LMFT or AMFT license issued by Utah DOPL
Other:
-Pay commensurate with licensure and experience
-Spanish speaking is an advantage, but not required
-Excellent written and verbal skills
-Must have current First Aid and CPR Certification as well as an approved DHS/OL Background Check, which may be completed upon hire
-Supervision is provided weekly for those working on hours towards licensure
